Why We Built This Site
Missouri offers several public access paths, but each one answers a different question. The Douglas County Circuit Clerk keeps filed charges, docket events, judgments, and certified court copies. The Sheriff’s Office and Jail holds sheriff-created reports and current local custody records. Statewide criminal-history checks run through the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Criminal Justice Information Services Division, while state custody and supervision appear through the Missouri Department of Corrections. Registry information is published through the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. This resource brings those distinct routes together without treating any one database as a complete record.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not part of a Missouri court, sheriff’s office, police department, or state agency. Those boundaries mean we cannot perform official functions:
- No one here can retrieve a person’s official criminal history or perform an official check
- Expungement petitions, public-record requests, and other filings cannot be submitted for a visitor
- Certified court papers, repository histories, and other official copies must come from their custodians
- Individual charges and legal options require advice from a qualified attorney, not this resource
- We cannot promise that a government phone number, fee, address, or procedure has not changed
Only the record holder, such as the court, the sheriff, or the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, can issue an official criminal record or certified copy.
